    - Deadline for manuscript submission

Participants interested in presenting either an oral paper or a poster are invited to submit an abstract. The Scientific Committee will review submitted abstracts to determine those best suited for oral presentation. All registered authors are expected to submit a complete manuscript for publication in a forthcoming edition of Acta Horticulturae.

Each manuscript will be peer reviewed prior to publication. All full registered participants (ISHS member and non-member) are able to submit manuscript and will receive a copy of the conference proceeding (Acta Horticulturae) when published.

Manuscripts must not exceed 8 pages including all tables, figures, and references except for invited and keynote speakers. We strongly recommend authors to read the ISHS Authors Guide - Preparing a Paper for Publication in Acta Horticulturae at the ISHS webpage. This will make the preparation and submission of manuscripts much easier and avoid misunderstandings at submission. The proceedings of the 3rdSyGOM will be published by the ISHS in its series Acta Horticulturae.

The abstract submission deadline is February 14, 2012. We will send to you the notification of review results such as acceptance/rejection and presentation format via e-mail until February 29, 2012. For your abstract(s) to be printed in the book of program and abstracts for presentation, presenting authors are strongly required to register the symposium by February 14, 2012, the deadline of early registration. Failure to register will result in removal of the abstract from the program.

The paper should not have been previously published and must be scientifically sound. Abstracts should normally be no longer than 400 words, including title, authors, affiliations and keywords. Please, indicate one of the five sessions to your abstract. Only two abstracts will be accepted by each registration.
