Abstract This study uses the annual precipitation data provided by 88 weather stations in Brazils Northeast. The yearly rainfall variations of each station were compared to the average climatic data of a 82-year period. For the period 1911 to 1992 the relationship between variations of yearly rainfall and the El Niño phenomenon was analyzed. |
