Abstract Rain water harvesting helps to reduce the burden on other sources of water in the context of proper water resources development. Rainwater collected while using a first flush system enhances the quality of drinking water and considerably reduces water borne diseases. There are automatic and manual operated first flush systems for rainwater harvesting. The most suitable, technologically appropriate and tested systems for developing countries are being outlined. |
